Orientation, Navigation, and Roles
This course covers different ways of searching within Striven, an overview of how to search within settings, and how to quickly add or find what you are looking for. We will introduces user roles, permissions, and invitations. We also cover the most important initial settings for new users.
Finally, we review the different ways to get support available to you and how to find your support request history using MilesIT’s Striven customer portal. We also detail how to find guides and community support.

Imports / Migrating Your Data
Overview of the different imports of Striven and best practices for using imports and reviewing the the differences between List Imports and Transactional Imports.

Task Basics
This session begins with a more in-depth dive into task or work order management. It includes: understanding all the actionable functions behind a task such as setting recurrences, linking to appointments, checklists, pools, and permissions. We also review how to configure tasks so that they fit your processes.

CRM & Sales Management
This two-hour session begins with a general overview of customer management in Striven. This includes contact management, location management, customer assignments, document management, customer settings and customizations, and more.
From there, we move into lead management, including use of lead forms and opportunities. This stage is all about how you manage interactions from the time of your first interaction until you are ready to begin asking for income.

Ordering and Portals
This course focuses on sales order management and the creation of invoices and collecting payments. The goal is for you to understand how offer services to your customers and get paid on time for them. This also covers the basics of collections and AR Aging.
The first part of this includes a quote or order creation and establishing your approval process. We review order management, search for items, modify pricing, and communication management with your customers.
The second part is focused on invoice creation and understanding your transactions and postings. We review how to enter payments both internally and using our customer portal and Authorize.net integration as well as manual payments. We also show how to issue credits and refunds. Finally, we review managing your customer’s Accounts Receivable through reporting and collections management.

Task Management and Scheduling
Operational task training moves into dispatching and workload management. This is often done by using one or more of the following: Dispatch Screens, Calendar, or Reporting and Dashboards.

Inventory Management
This two-hour session focuses on Item Management. It covers item creation and the different item types.
Inventory Items – Will cover inventory adjustments, transfers, and costing. We review item groups and manufactured items. We cover reporting via the Stock Status, Item Profitability, Item Quick Report, and using the Report Builder.

Purchasing and Expense Management
This two-hour session focuses on Purchase Order and bill management. This covers how to receive inventory and pay bills as well as any AP Aging management. We also review expense management.

Financial Report Management
This course covers the basic accounting reporting such as Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Trial Balance, Cash Flow, and report builder. It also covers how to do deposits, transfers, Journal Entries, and other transactions. Finally, we show you how to reconcile your accounts.

Report Builder
This course is a two hour deep dive into how to use report builder. This covers the different data sets and how to construct, user, and share reports. It also goes into common features among the different report options.

We encourage every user of Striven to get at least one certification. While the program is essential for beginner or intermediate users, more seasoned users will also benefit from learning about the latest features and processes.

What should I expect from a Striven Certification Course?

Our courses are live and interactive. In addition to hands-on training, we also have a live chat to answer your specific questions during each session.

When do courses happen?

Certification courses happen once per quarter. Dates and times for each course are posted on the registration page.

What does certification cover?

Our certification courses include a complete advanced training on each core area of Striven (CRM, tasks, projects, accounting, etc.). Each person will earn a new certificate for individual courses they complete.

How should I decide which courses my staff should take?

Browse the course list and decide what pertains most to each job role (for example, any person dealing with sales should take the CRM & Sales Management course).

How long is each course?

Advanced training for a single course module is a 2-hour time commitment. While there is no exam, those taking certification courses should also take time to practice what they learned in each course.
