Employee Name Recording
Striven has a unique feature to record the pronunciation of Employee names to help other users avoid any confusion or miscommunication when contacting an Employee whose name may be unfamiliar to them. If the Employee’s name has been recorded, a Speaker icon is displayed next to the My Profile – Info page title, which you can click to hear the recording. If the name has not yet been recorded, a Microphone icon will display.
Example of the Speaker Icon Indicating the Employee’s Name Has Been Recorded
If you have the “Employee Name Recording – Add/Edit Own Name Recording” permission included in your User Role, you can click the Microphone icon next to the My Profile – Info page title to display the Recorder popup. This will allow you to record your name so other users can hear the correct pronunciation.
Example of the User Role Permission Required to Record Your Name
Simply click the Microphone icon on the Recorder popup to start recording your name. Click the Stop button to end the recording. You can then playback the recording to hear how it sounds, re-record your name, or click Save to close the popup and save your recording.
Example of the Name Recording Feature on the My Profile – Info Page
- Note: The Microphone icon next to the page title will not display if you do not have the required permission to record your name.
Once the name is recorded and saved, the icon will display as a Speaker to indicate you can click on it to listen to the recording. This displays on the My Profile – Info page, the Employee Dashboard, as well as the Employee Info Card.
- Note: A similar feature is also available for Striven Contacts, which requires a separate User Role Permission to configure.
